After DarkAfter Dark   
There is a night that I have known  Encased in sinew, blood, and grit;  Of muscle, marrow, sick, and bone,  Heart and spirit, mind and spit.   
There is a night that never breaks,  No stars above to plot the course  Through waves which only rise to wake  And cry to dream of open doors.   
There is a night that never ends,  A child that never leaves the crib;  It suckles from the blood it sends  A shiver kissing breast and rib.   
There is a night beyond the deep,  Six feet past all want of sleep,  Past distant shores and Davy Jones, &n After Dark

Infernal CombustionDeep within its shallow glow  Reside the shafts of tallow bright;  Sputtering, guttering, fluttering flow  The lonely licks against the night-  One brave brightness makes a show  Of stoic truth and martyr's might.   
The darkness swells with pride to know  It dwarfs the waxen wick'd blight.  The shadows dance from to to fro,  A black waltz dark as murder's flight;  The ranks of shade then cackle and crow  At the callow candle's flickering fright.   
Darkness yawns both high and low  With naught but absence left and right-  It matters not how pale the glow  It Infernal Combustion

Moths, Mountains, and MadnessThough high upon the mountaintop,  His hopes are reaching higher;   
From high upon the mountaintop,  The Titan steals the fire.   
He gently plants his blazing prize  Far from eager peering eyes   
Deep within the human breast  And tries to put the flame to rest.   
With good intent Prometheus stole  A fire to burn in place of soul;   
With good intent Prometheus gave  A torch to light me to my grave.

CarinoThe steed of steel shivers beneath my gentle rubber spurs;  It stolidly hums its contentedness, secure, selfless.  It quivers until the familiar grip at the reins soothes it, makes it purr.  Itchedly gripping the road, ignorant behind the transparent glass blinders, helpless,  And how it pounces, how it roars: whipped, wretched, and mean.
